Help your website rank higher with an SSL certificate
As part of Google’s ambitions to make the web safer, it has announced it is now giving preference to secure websites and pages with HTTPS. To benefit from this boost, websites must carry SSL certificates.
How a SSL certificate could benefit your website visitors
You will be able to protect the data that’s transferred to and from your website. SSL certificates encrypt data so hackers can’t read it. This will protect sensitive data such as credit card numbers, passwords and more.
- Attract more visitors by gaining precedence in search engine results under Google’s new measures
- Give your site visitors peace of mind with the knowledge that all data is encrypted and safeguarded against third party access
- Reduce costs and increase payment options by taking online payments without a third party.

On April 8, 2014 support for XP will end. This means that XP users will no longer receive free updates and security patches. XP users will become immediately vulnerable to malware viruses.
Most of the patches and updates that are released for Windows 7 & 8,also apply to XP. Once those patches are no longer available to XP users they will be unable to update their system for free. Hackers will be able to reverse engineer the patches and create viruses and malware that will affect XP systems.
Despite being 12 years old XP is still the second most popular operating system. Windows 7 is out in front but the number of XP systems that are still being used presents a serious problem when support ends. Most users are not aware that support for their operating system is coming to an end….or what the implications are.
With so many XP computers still in use, it is worth time and effort for hackers to create viruses and malware for the platform. It is therefore, wise to be proactive and upgrade any XP computers to Windows 7 or 8 before the end of 2013. This will allow time to rectify and deal with any issues that may result from the migration.
Zimbra Collaboration Suite is commonly called the “next generation Outlook and Exchange” and is used in over 90 countries with over 55 million paid users.
Zimbra, in simple terms, provides access to your email, calendar, documents and task lists from any device and anywhere that you have Internet access. For today’s business environment it can provide a real boost to productivity. Starting at £3.65 per user per month it is a low cost alternative to paying upfront for your own fileserver.
Zimbra’s hosted solution offers significant savings over the Exchange equivalent. As Zimbra is based on Open Sourced software it provides much greater flexibility. The Zimlets provide the ability to integrate with other systems (such as Salesforce).
